jamescaws.co.uk has been my space on the web since 22nd January 2002 and it has gone through many transformations since then. Before the first version of the site came into existence, I’d been designing and developing web sites for some time whilst I was a pupil at Queen Elizabeth Cambria comprehensive school in Carmarthen. After finishing there in 2000 with GCSEs and A levels, I took a year out. I spent six months of said year in Germany and on returning from there I went to university. On completing university I worked for a website development firm in central London for two and a half years.
I’m a keen photographer. I own a Nikon D50 (DSLR) that I carry with me pretty much at all times. A selection of my photos can be found in my portfolio and I occasionally contribute some of my images to iStockPhoto. Several of my photos have been used by other sites covering various news stories and biographies.
Travel features quite a bit in what I do during my free time. In 2005 we travelled to Brussels, France, Spain, Italy, Thailand and Australia. In 2006 we stayed a little closer to home [UK], visiting Ireland, France and Italy. In 2007 I moved to Melbourne, but in August I took a trip to New York. Since then I have been visitng parts of Australia and flitting to and from the UK on occasion.
